My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of hands-on experience in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how beauty and practicality merge.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the honor of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. This journey has shaped my eye for luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. There’s something endlessly fascinating about Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that seamlessly blends a vintage-inspired edge with refined construction and premium materials. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal take on various Superstar variants, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
Whether you’re a die-hard sneaker collector or simply looking to inject a bit of chic into your wardrobe, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.
So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, check out my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where can I find a pair like yours?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered gold sneakers by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
What’s the cost?
When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their full price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
How does the sizing run?
They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.

Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is smarter. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also look great.
Where can I find them on sale?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.
- GGoose.org – where I picked up mine!
- Gilt – membership is completely free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it appears they’re giving $50 off your first in-app purchase of $150 or more with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an amazing source for new or gently used Golden Goose shoes at fantastic prices
- Ebay – plenty of incredible steals on gently used pairs of Golden Goose sneakers
- @likeabandit – she posts loads of Golden Goose finds on her Instagram stories, so don’t miss out
Where did you end up buying them?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and bought them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
What’s the price?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
How is the fit?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
